Watcher

What we check

When you tell us a topic, we search the web for pages that list it, keep the useful ones and check those.

We also check the public pages, calendar feeds and listings of the websites you follow: venues, clubs, circuits, promoters and councils. We check each one on a timer, once for everyone who follows it, and every event card says when we last checked.

We watch dated things. Houses, products and prices come later.

When you add something, we email you at 7am on the day, and the day before or a week before if you choose: one email a day, with everything that day. When booking opens is an email of its own. A calendar is optional.

If you connect a calendar, what you add goes in it too, and we read the times, titles and places of your plans for the next four weeks, so we can avoid clashes and tell you if one of your plans is cancelled or moved.

What we never do

  • Log in to anyone's social accounts, or read personal accounts.
  • Read your email or messages.
  • Read calendar descriptions or attendees, or keep calendar data after you disconnect.
  • Use anything from your calendar for advertising, ever.
  • Buy anything for you. Booking is always a link to the organiser.
  • Say tickets exist unless the source page says so. Otherwise the card says “Unconfirmed”.

18 and over

Watcher is for adults. We ask you to confirm you are 18 or over before anything is saved, and we never ask for a date of birth.
